Biography

Kimball Ketsa joined the UVic Gustavson School of Business in 2005 as a sessional instructor in accounting and finance. He has been an assistant teaching professor with the Gustavson School of Business since June 2018. Kimball is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA CMA) with 26 years of diverse accounting experience in private industry, public practice (Deloitte), public trading company, all levels of government and non-profit organizations. He has international experience while being the chief financial officer for an American music label company. For over 5 years, he has been mentoring entrepreneurs in Victoria's vibrant technology sector.

Kimball has taught college/university courses in financial accounting, finance, financial management and managerial accounting for 25 years. In addition to teaching as a sessional instructor at the University of Victoria, he has taught at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton and Camosun College. His expertise is bridging his practical experience and knowledge from the work industry into the classroom. This model has motivated many students to become more engaged in their learning outcomes. He has passion for teaching and finds transitioning knowledge both dynamic and rewarding.
