Tree removal for Engineering expansion project

As construction begins this month on the future Engineering and Computer Science Expansion (ECSE) and High Bay Research and Structures Lab (HBRSL) buildings, several trees will be removed from the site on Jan. 16 and 17.
These trees were professionally assessed for removal due to constructability and safety concerns.
Replacement trees will be planted, and landscaping will be restored using Indigenous plants as part of the university’s commitment to protecting and managing the ecological diversity of the natural areas on campus.
