Lydia Fielder

Weekend Anchor/Reporter
Nashville, TN
Lydia Fielder

Lydia Fielder is a weekend anchor and multimedia journalist (MMJ) at WSMV4 Nashville. She joined the team in October 2021.

She comes to Nashville from Northwest Arkansas where she spent 2.5 years as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Lydia also grew up in the area.

Her notable coverage includes the Josh Duggar child pornography trial, an exclusive interview with an Arkansan charged in the U.S. Capitol riots, and many flooding and tornado events.

Her favorite memory in was spending a week in Omaha, Nebraska, covering the Arkansas Razorback baseball team in the 2022 College World Series (Woo Pig Sooie!).

The second day of Lydia’s career in journalism was the first day of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. She credits the pandemic with helping her learn creative ways and different angles to deliver news.

Lydia graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a major in broadcast journalism and minors in political science and Spanish. There, she was an anchor and reporter for UATV News.

During her time off, you can likely find Lydia on a run, at a live sporting event or on the dance floor. She feels blessed to call such a beautiful city her new home, which, she says, had a big city feel but the most hospitable people.

She’d love to hear your story ideas, or just a friendly “hello.” Email her anytime at Lydia.Fielder@wsmv.com.
