Andrea Mameli

Andrea Mameli has been working at CRS4 since 1996:

- 1996 - 2007: researcher in the Information Technology Sector; in the years 1996 to 1998 he designed and managed computer literacy activities for schools called "Internet, avvisi ai naviganti"; in the years 1999 to 20021 he designed and managed computer literacy activities for citizens of any ages called "Sardegna 2000" (funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia); in 2000 he was a member of the Scientific board of the literacy program "Elia 2000" (designed and co-funded by the Municipality of Cagliari) addressed to primary school children living in the Sant'Elia district; furthermore, in 2007 he designed and managed dissemination activities for children aged 4 to 11 in the Library of the regional agency Sardegna Ricerche (at that time called Consorzio 21);

- 2007 - 2011 researcher in the Renewable Energies Group, during that time he coordinated advanced training courses on energy topics for university graduated and disseminated science in schools;

- 2011 - 2020: head of the Communications Office; amongst other things he has performed science dissemination activities with primary school children in 2013 and he coordinated the dissemination project "Lab Boat" on a sailing boat that circumnavigated Sardinia (funded by the Fondazione di Sardegna) in 2018 and 2019; moreover from 2016 to 2019 in the framework of the Asimov Prize (a project for popularization of science with secondary schools promoted by the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, INFN) he conducted the training of students from Sardinia;

- 2020 - jan. 2023: researcher in the Quantum Computing Group;

- feb. 2023 - today: Dissemination Office Manager with the mission to design and implement activities for preschool and early primary school pupils in STEM environments, triggering curiosity and activating skills through an interdisciplinary, inclusive, sustainable and safe approach; research on STEM education.

In 2003 he joined the CRS4 Emergency Team, with a Fire qualification and a First Aid qualification.

In 2022 he joined the working group for the implementation of the CRS4 Gender Equality Plan.

- Laurea (M. Sc.) degree in Physics (University of Cagliari, 1995);

- Master's degree in Science Communication (SISSA, International School for Advanced Studies, Trieste, 1999).

- designing and performing educational workshops for children on energy issues on behalf of "Info Energy Gallura" (La Maddalena and Palau, 2013).
