CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Clarksville Police Department announced the arrests of two more suspects connected to a double homicide earlier this month.
The CPD confirmed that a 17-year-old male from Oak Grove, Kentucky, and 20-year-old Christopher Watkins, of Hopkinsville, were arrested on April 24, and April 25, respectively. They are charged with two counts of criminal homicide for their involvement in the murders of Savannah Lumpkin and Glenn Nicholson on April 8.
Hopkinsville Police officers arrested the 17-year-old on Wednesday. He has since been transported to a juvenile detention facility in Kentucky and awaits extradition to Tennessee to face charges. Watkins was arrested on Thursday in Clarksville and booked into Montgomery County Jail.
This comes after 36-year-old Tristan Riley and 20-year-old Tyson Mullins were taken into custody earlier this month for their involvement in the double homicide.
On April 8, CPD officers responded to a home in the 600 block of Martin Street for a reported shooting and arrived to find Lumpkin and Nicholson deceased inside the house.
Riley was arrested on April 12 in Chicago, Illinois, with the help of the Chicago Police Department and he still awaits extradition back to Clarksville to face two homicide charges, one count of possessing a firearm during a felony, and burglary (stemming from an unrelated incident in March).
Mullins was apprehended on Tuesday, April 23, and booked into Montgomery County Jail. He is charged with two counts of homicide.
The investigation remains ongoing.
