NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville Police hosted its second annual city-wide basketball tournament for children ages 10-13.

Officers from seven different Metro Precincts – Central District excluded – recruited teams and coaches to field teams in the tournament.

“It’s important because it helps bring the community together, between the police and the communities they serve,” said Keisha Thomas, one of the coaches at Saturday’s event. “It shows we’re in this together, and to provide the right opportunities for our kids.”
