FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA/Gray News) - A malnourished puppy was found abandoned in a porta-potty in Indiana.
The Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control said a City of Fort Wayne Right-of-Way Department employee found the puppy on Thursday.
Animal Care & Control said the neglected puppy was under the gentle care of the shelter’s staff and medical team while they searched for a foster home.
The 8-week-old, male puppy is not yet available for adoption, but the shelter said it will continue to provide updates on him.
Donations to help support the puppy’s care can be made via the shelter’s “Angel Fund.”
On Friday, the shelter shared that the pup had a great first day in his foster home and are now looking for name suggestions.
More information about the shelter can be found on its website.
