NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Summer-like temperatures return to the Mid State through the middle of this week with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s today under plenty of sunshine this afternoon.
It will be just the slightest bit muggy today, but not overly oppressive, by any means. Tonight will be comfortable with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s by tomorrow morning.
We’ll see a few clouds mix in during the day tomorrow, but sunshine should still win out the day. Temperatures will mostly be in the mid to upper 80s with one or two spots that may even make a run at 90° in the afternoon.

UNSETTLED WEATHER FRIDAY
Our next storm system will move in late Thursday night and into our Friday with some scattered showers and even a thunderstorm or two out ahead of a cold front. There is no severe weather risk with any storm, but we could still have some heavier downpours at times Friday. It will be a cooler afternoon with highs back in the 70s for the day
THIS WEEKEND
Watch for a leftover shower early in the day on Saturday, but we should mostly dry out in the afternoon with highs back in the low 80s.
Sunday will be mostly dry until late in the day when we have another small chance of a pop-up shower in parts of the Mid State. Highs on Sunday will top off in the mid 80s.
More showers will develop on Monday before we dry out on Tuesday. Highs early next week stay well in the 80s.
