Homes evacuated after reported threat discovered during active investigation in Robertson County

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in the execution of a search warrant on Wednesday.

The TBI confirmed to WSMV4 that the search warrant is part of an active and ongoing investigation. The warrant is being executed at a home on Owens Chapel Road in Springfield.

Investigation at the home revealed threats — physical things that could ignite, according to the Cross Plains Fire Department. Authorities said homes that are within an estimated 1700-foot radius are being evacuated.

No other information has been released at this time.

WSMV4 has reached out to the sheriff’s office for more information on this matter.
