PARIS, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Henry County man was arrested and charged in connection to an ongoing investigation into online child exploitation, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
The TBI said they began investigating after they received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a person who distributed files of child sexual abuse material on Facebook. The TBI said the suspect was 45-year-old Ernest Brown.
On Friday, TBI officials, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department and Homeland Security Investigations searched Brown’s home and took 10 electronic devices. Agents with the TBI found that Brown had more than 5,000 files of child sexual abuse material, according to a report.
Brown was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked in the Henry County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The TBI said the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who has information about Brown in relation to the alleged crimes should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-Find or email TipstoTBI@tbi.tn.gov.
