NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Law enforcement agencies across the Midstate gathered at public stores such as Walgreens, Walmart, CVS and more to take part in DEA National Take Back Day.
At the locations, law enforcement helps people properly dispose of drugs.
According to dea.gov, too often unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands.
People can dispose of the drugs for free with no questions asked.
The day gave people a chance to not only discard unused drugs but to receive information and in some cases free items.
At the Wilson County Take Back events law enforcement gave away free lock boxes.
