NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 19-year-old turned himself in to police. He admitted to killing a man whose body was found in the 700 block of Patricia Drive after 9 p.m. Friday, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said the suspect 19-year-old Jahir Hernandez met with 30-year-old Javier Palafox-Garcia on Friday night to kill him.

Hernandez told police the murder was retaliation and that Palafox-Garcia allegedly sexually assaulted him four years ago.

Hernandez said he arranged to meet Palafox-Garcia at an apartment complex on Thompson Place near Murfreesboro Pike. Just after Palafox-Garcia got out of the car, Hernandez said he shot him multiple times.

Hernandez then drove to Patricia Drive where he stopped and pulled the body from the car onto the street. Hernandez said he then drove over the body.

Later Friday evening, around 11:30 p.m., Hernandez went to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office on South 5th Street and told a deputy that he killed someone and wanted to surrender.

Hernandez was charged with criminal homicide and booked on a $350,000 bond.
