NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Madi Diaz wants Delta Airlines to be held accountable after her guitar was broken.
On Saturday, Diaz took to X to show a video of her broken guitar.
She was going on tour with Kacey Musgraves in Ireland when she opened her guitar case to practice and found the damage.
“How could this happen,” Diaz said. “Delta needs to know they can’t treat instruments like this.”
From my dorm room in college to stages with @Harry_Styles this guitar has been with me through ALL OF IT. @Delta I’m truly devastated by the treatment of my instrument. Insurmountable loss. Idk how to begin to replace something like this. pic.twitter.com/aOR3lTIheE

For Diaz, the 20-year-old Martin Guitar wasn’t just a guitar.
“So many memories just gone,” Diaz said. “Absolutely beyond devastated.”
Diaz said her guitar had gone from her dorm room in college to stages with Harry Styles.
She said, “I’m truly devastated by the treatment of my instrument. Insurmountable loss. I don’t know how to begin to replace something like this.”
Musgraves also took to Instagram to repost her thoughts on what happened to Diaz’s guitar.
Delta sent the following statement:
“Delta apologizes to Madi for the damage to her instrument. We’re in contact with her team to try to make this right.”
Diaz and Musgraves are embarking on the Deeper Well Tour. On April 28, they will have their first show in Dublin, Ireland. Diaz will tour with Musgraves through May 15 for the European leg of the tour.
