NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville police is urging the public to arrive extra early if you’re attending events or plan on being downtown Friday night.
With the Morgan Wallen concert and Nashville Predators playoff game, police expect thousands, upon thousands of people around the area.
DETOUR: Effective May 2-4, routes 4, 14, 23, 41, & 56 will detour due to the Morgan Wallen concert at Nissan Stadium.

“Some 50,000 concert goers are expected at Nissan Stadium for night two of the Morgan Wallen concert that begins at 6 p.m.,” police said.
“The Woodland Street Bridge will close to vehicle traffic around 5 p.m. and will then be available to only pedestrians and WeGo buses. Parking on the Nissan Stadium campus is by presold permit only. Those without a parking pass are encouraged to make their parking plan now, or take a rideshare service.”
Hockey fans should expect heavy traffic around Bridgestone Arena by late afternoon for the 6 p.m. puck drop.
“Other events in the downtown area Friday evening include the 8 p.m. Portugal. The Man concert at the Ryman Auditorium, and the Nashville Sounds 6:35 p.m. game vs. Norfolk at First Horizon Park,” MNPD said.
