NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - It has been two months since the heart-wrenching discovery of Emily Bradley’s body in Whites Creek.
On March 2, Dwight and Eliza Smith found Emily Bradley’s body in Whites Creek, along Buena Vista Pike near Hummingbird Drive.
Her friends have come together to install a memorial along Buena Vista Pike, near the site where her body was found.
Emily’s father traveled from Florida as the memorial was placed. He had the opportunity to meet the people who found Emily’s remains. Dwight and Eliza Smith, strangers turned friends, happened upon Emily’s body by chance and wasted no time in alerting authorities.
Reflecting on that day, Dwight said he took a route the day his wife saw Emily as they drove by.
“Something just told me you better go that way,” Dwight said.
The couple is thankful they were able to help the Bradley family get closure.
“He’s a father. I’m a mother. You know, I would want someone... I would just want someone to find her as a parent,” said Eliza.
Kevin Bradley, Emily’s father, expressed gratitude for the investigative efforts underway as Metro Nashville police work to uncover who killed Emily.
He remains hopeful justice will be served, stating, “She was a powerful personality... Emily adored me. And she’s the only person on earth that’s ever adored me like that besides my mother.”
Emily Bradley’s vibrant spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of many.
“She helped everybody that needed help. And I think many people were helped by her that she just brushed by them briefly and changed their world,” said Kevin.
