Shooting kills one at Clarksville bar

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting at a bar that killed a man early Sunday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., the CPD received a phone call about a shooting inside Smooves Bar and Grill at 2150 Ft. Campbell Blvd. One person was shot in the abdomen inside the business, according to CPD.

Officers responded to the area, found the victim and began providing medical aid until EMS arrived.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. Police reported around 8:30 a.m. the victim died as a result of his injuries.

Police said this is an active investigation and that no other information is available.

Anyone who has any information about the shooting is asked to call the Clarksville Police Department.
