3 Clarksville firefighters injured after fire sparks at tire shop

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Three firefighters had minor injuries while battling a fire at a Clarksville business on Sunday morning, the Clarksville Fire Rescue Department said.

The fire department responded to a fire at Wheel Shop, 1655 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., around 11:30 a.m.

Off-duty fire personnel were called in to assist battling the fire.

A fire department spokesman said two of the injured firefighters have been released from the hospital. The third firefighter is awaiting test results.

Wilma Rudolph Boulevard was closed between Dunbar Cave Road and Old Trenton Road while firefighters were on scene.

The Clarksville Police Department is conducting traffic control for Clarksville Fire Rescue after a fire sparked at a shop on Sunday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
