NORTH PORT, Fla. (WWSB/Gray News) - In Florida, it seems even alligators need their morning cup of coffee.

North Port Fire Rescue were called out to a Starbucks for reports of an alligator on the loose Saturday morning. Photos posted to Facebook show the reptile walking near the store’s drive-thru.

Fire rescue crews grabbed the alligator from outside the coffee shop with help from the North Port Police Department. The reptile was safely relocated to a nearby pond behind North Port Fire Station 81, WWSB reports.

“Who knew our mornings could get so wild? Remember folks, even on your morning coffee run, always expect the unexpected!” read fire rescue’s Facebook post.

There were no reported injuries while the alligator was on the loose.
