NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Predators are on the hunt to clinch their spot in the NHL Playoffs following a franchise-record point streak that was snapped during its two-game road trip.
On Thursday, the Preds fell to the Arizona Coyotes 8-4, ending their point streak at 18 games (16-0-2). It was also their first loss in regulation since Feb. 15.
The weekend didn’t end well after Nashville lost 7-4 at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche.
The Preds will look to get back in the win column during a two-game homestand beginning on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins.
As of Monday, the Predators occupy the first Wild Card spot but have yet to clinch it. They lead the Los Angeles Kings by three points in the Wild Card race.
