Student Fall-Winter Parking Permits 2025-2026

Student U-Pass Waiver and Parking Permits

Due to the high demand for parking on campus, for the 2025-2026 school year, student parking permits will only be available for students with U-Pass waivers (who live outside the Urban Transit Area and Rural Transit Area A) OC Transpo Urban and Rural .eps

U-Pass waivers will be available starting July 5, 2025. You can apply for a waiver at https://carleton.ca/upass/opt-in-and-opt-out/.  Waivers are typically processed within two weeks. Once your waiver confirmation is received by email, forward it with an e-mail request for a Student parking permit to parking@carleton.ca.  If you do not already have a Carleton University parking account in ParkAdmin, please create one at  https://carleton.parkadmin.com/. You will need to use your cmail email and enter your vehicle particulars.

Once your U-Pass Waiver has been verified, a Student parking permit will be placed in your Account cart for payment.

The Campus Card Office and Parking Services encourage all students to use public transit options Carleton University | OC Transpo including Park and Ride Park & Ride | OC Transpo  / Rural Park & Ride | OC Transpo or car/permit sharing to get to campus.

For those who choose to drive to campus and do not live outside of the OC Transpo transit zone, limited all-day parking will be available in Lot P7 for $12.00 daily Mon-Fri. or in all other campus visitor parking lots on a first-come, first-served basis.  Payment can be made via the Hotspot App, by scanning QR codes posted in the lot or at paystations where available.

Permit Sharing

If two or more employees/students wish to share the cost of one permit, all participant vehicles may be listed on one parking profile. Carpoolers may split the cost of the permit through one payment. Only one listed vehicle may be parked on campus at any given time. Any supplemental vehicle would be required to pay visitor parking rates if parking for more than one listed vehicle was required simultaneously.

We do not require any physical parking permits or visitor parking payment receipts to be displayed. We verify your parking permit/payment by the license plate you have registered on your parking account or have entered into the paystation/HotSpot mobile validation.

Please note that parking fees at 355 Cooper Street (for the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre) are in affect.
