Laurens County, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The search for a missing woman who went under in Lake Greenwood enters day seven.

According to the Laurens County Coroner, on Saturday, May 25, a call came in regarding missing swimmers at around 2 p.m. Officials said there were four swimmers, three of which were found safe.

The missing woman has been identified as 30-year-old Staff Sergeant Porsha Griffin with the SC National Guard.

Officials said Griffin was tubing behind a boat, fell in the water without a life jacket and has not resurfaced.

Below is the latest update from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR):

DNR investigators said they have been relying on witness statements, sonar and side scans to determine where Griffin might be.

Witnesses were called back out to the scene on Thursday.

A neighbor who heard the screams on Saturday before he knew what happened said, “We’ve all been praying for the family. We’re just heartbroken for them and her daughter.”
