👏 Congratulations to Sanae El Harane (Department of Medicine ) and Maude Rolland (Department of Surgery) for these prestigious #innoLIFE maturation funds! 🚀 Their innovation projects will bring science a step further!
🎉 Congratulations to the two University of Geneva researchers, Dre Sanae El Harane and Dre Maude Rolland of the Faculté de médecine - UNIGE, and their innovative projects which have been granted by the 2025 subsidies of the innoLIFE maturation fund, managed by Unitec! Their innovative projects stood out for their strong translational potential and are now one step closer to making an impact. 🚀 👉 "Towards innovative solutions for the transport of ready-to-use organoids" – Project led by Dre Sanae El Harane, post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UNIGE. After developing the organoid model Airliwell (soon commercialized via Harantech), the team now tackles organoid shipping: creating reliable methods to deliver pre-seeded organoid plates while preserving viability and function. This innovation will boost accessibility, reproducibility, and scalability of organoid models for research and industry. 👉 "Towards more efficient production of gene therapy vectors" – Project led by Dre Maude Rolland, post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, UNIGE. Vector production remains a key bottleneck for gene therapy. The team is developing a high-efficiency packaging cell line that stably produces vectors, offering a reliable, cost-effective, and scalable solution. This innovation could speed up gene therapy development and expand patient access to life-changing treatments.
