Development and management of the University's future buildings (in particular Uni Vernets, CSMP, Student Centre), planning and implementation of ecological transition as well as measures improve community life in existing buildings, development of renovation projects for existing buildings

Holder of a PhD in Law from the University of Geneva and a postgraduate diploma in European Community Law from the College of Europe, Bruges, François Bellanger has been a professor at the University of Geneva since 1998 and is a partner in the Poncet Turrettini law firm.

He chairs the boards of the Fondation genevoise de désendettement, the Fondation Centre Intercantonal d'information sur les croyances and the Fondation de l'Institut d'Études Immobilières. He is also a member of several foundations and boards of directors, including that of the Fondation Boninchi.

His teaching at University covers various areas of public law, including construction law, public procurement or civil service law, administrative procedure, and litigation under cantonal and federal public law. With over 25 years of practice as a lawyer, he specializes in public law, real estate law, contract law, and litigation.

His research areas are related to public law and often intersect with his teaching. They recently concern administrative procedure and the challenges of ecological transition in terms of land use planning and construction law.

Since April 2024, he has been the Director of Real Estate Strategy at the University of Geneva.
