Campus Transportation Survey
Since 1996 the university has conducted regular comprehensive surveys of transportation access patterns to and from the campus for a typical fall (October) weekday. The surveys monitors vehicle trips, transit ridership, carpooling patterns as well as pedestrian and cyclist travel to and from UVic at all access points. UVic’s goal is 70% sustainable mode share including walking, cycling, transit and carpooling.

Traffic and Parking Management
The Traffic and Parking Management Report supports the university's goals of increasing sustainable transportation choices and promoting safe and efficient movement within the campus. The report includes sections on multi-modal traffic and circulation, parking and transportation demand management. An extensive stakeholder consultation program was undertaken as part of the study process. Recommendations in the report form part of the vision for the future of the campus and are integrated with other planning and sustainability objectives. The report assists in ensuring that future parking and traffic requirements are well managed and planned to achieve the optimal balance between efficiency, cost, impact to the surrounding community, convenience for users and sustainability.

Campus Transit Plan
The Campus Transit Plan, prepared in conjunction with BC Transit, provides direction to guide future transit service improvements in the short and long term that serve the campus community and enhance the links to the regional transit system.
Campus Wayfinding Strategy
The design and approach to the installation of new pedestrian and vehicle oriented signage on campus reflects the direction provided by the 2009 Campus Wayfinding Strategy. It includes a hierarchy and family of sign types to address the wayfinding needs of occasional visitors and regular campus users.
Natural Features Study
A detailed inventory and assessment of the natural features of the campus was undertaken in conjunction with the School of Environmental Studies in 2007 to provide key information for ongoing campus planning activities.

Integrated Stormwater Management Plan
The UVic campus is located on the height of land between Gordon Head and Cadboro Bay and is the headwater stream source for four different drainage systems. The Plan provides direction for stormwater flow reductions and improvements in water quality, along with the application of best management practices for new facilities and existing buildings, parking lots and campus lands.
Campus Integrated Energy Masterplan
The Energy Masterplan provides direction to assist the university in meeting its targets for energy use, carbon reductions and costs. It includes an assessment of existing and projected future energy use and outlines seven key recommendations for consideration, in conjunction with planning for future campus development.
Athletics Centre Traffic Impact Assessment
As part of the planning for the Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA), the District of Saanich and UVic jointly funded a traffic study that addressed road upgrades scheduled for McKenzie Avenue, along with potential impacts of the new facility. The study was completed by the Boulevard Transportation Group.
