How to apply for undergraduate studies

We value students who are engaged in their community and are seeking intellectual challenge. Is this you?

Regular admissions

Learn everything you need to know about becoming a UVic student, from choosing a program and reviewing admission requirements to submitting your application and reporting your grades.

If you have questions, talk to a UVic recruiter or come to one of our recruiting events.

Alternative admissions

If you are concerned that your high school marks may not meet our minimum threshold in the courses presented for admission, there is another route. We value students who contribute richly to their school, their community and their world.

If you have a rich background of work or volunteer experience, athletic, creative or other achievements that enrich your high school transcripts, you may wish to consider applying for alternative admission under the expanded qualifications category. Under this procedure, the faculty considers a broad range of criteria for applicants whose grades are otherwise below our regular admission cutoff. Please see expanded qualifications for more information.
