There are many opportunities to study or work abroad. Almost all programs require you to have some knowledge of a language prior to your departure.  In the fall of every year our exchange and co-op abroad coordinators give a presentation on available programs. In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to contact them. Please check our pages for Germanic opportunities at this time.

We realize that the main obstacle for going to study abroad might be the lack of financial resources. Here we suggest some of the funding opportunities that exist for UVic students who want to explore the world by studying abroad.

We think you may find useful two checklists prepared by our former student Rowan Meredith about practical and emotional preparation for study and work abroad.
