FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY - TONIGHT:

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to slide southeastward through the Mid State overnight. All modes of severe weather will be possible -- damaging wind, isolated tornadoes, hail, and localized flooding.

Some storms that form overnight will be especially powerful with wind gusts to 70+ mph.

Storms will reach Nashville just after midnight. Storms will reach southern Middle Tennessee around 3 am.

MEMORIAL DAY:

Monday will start off with showers and thunderstorms exiting to the southeast.

There will be plenty of dry-time in the afternoon. Highs will rise into the middle and upper 80s. Isolated thundershowers will be possible again in the late-afternoon and evening.

NEXT WEEK:

On Tuesday, expect much nicer conditions. Mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 80s are in the forecast.

Dry weather is expected from Wednesday through Friday as well with highs ranging from the low to middle 80s.

Next Saturday looks decent. A mix of sun and clouds are expected. A shower can’t be ruled out, particularly late in the day. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
