Thousands reported power outages during Middle Tennessee storms

People are without power after storms hit Sunday morning.
Residents in Robertson County and parts of Nashville were without power for hours overnight during the storms.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - People were without power as waves of storms moved through Middle Tennesse Sunday, into Monday morning.

The Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation reported thousands of outages early Monday morning across Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson, Stewart, and Sumner counties.

Middle Tennessee Electric showed several hundred at one point in Williamson, Rutherford, and Wilson counties.

According to CDE Lightband, which serves the Clarksville area, more than 3,000 customers were without power Monday morning. That number gradually shrank as the morning progressed.

Nashville Electric Service reported more than 5,000 locations were without power in the Davidson County area, with most of the outages being in the Madison area. Most customers’ power has been restored.

Dickson Electric even saw numerous outages during the storms, with 2,200 customers affected at one point.
