NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Soon Nashvillians and Middle Tennesseans will be able to embark on an East Asian experience with a Chinatown in development.

The company, Tennessee Nashville Chinatown, is planning to build in the Antioch area. Tennessee Nashville Chinatown will be on an existing 4.83-acre plot of land along I-24 at 5255 Hickory Hollow Parkway. It includes a Pan-Asia supermarket with over 44,000 sqft in the Antioch area. In addition to a Pan-Asia supermarket, Tennessee Nashville Chinatown will have 10 restaurants, several retail offices and an event center after completion.

The supermarket is expected to open by mid-2025 and the project is expected to be completed by 2027.

The supermarket will be the largest Asian grocery store in Nashville with more than 10,000 Asian products. The supermarket will also be Pan-Asia Supermarket’s Flagship store.

The project will create around 300 jobs during the construction period and will have up to 500 full and part-time restaurant, retail and management-related jobs upon completion.

The company’s mission is to develop the first Chinatown in Nashville with a balance of traditional and modern Chinese architecture.

“It will be a new tourist and attraction for both locals and visitors in Nashville, offering the unique and upscale Asian architecture, culture, shopping, restaurant, retail services and experience to Asian and all communities in Nashville and surrounding cities/states,” Tennessee Nashville Chinatown said on their website.

The project, managed by Sheri Ma of MM Realty Management and Rita Zheng of YHYS, LLC, was endorsed by District 32 Council Member Joy Styles.
