Use your MC1 account & password to access your email at Carleton, follow these steps to change your password. Please note that after you change you MC1 password it will take 15 minutes before you can sign into your Cmail account.

If you can sign into some services but not others (Ex. I can sign into Carleton Central but not Cmail).
Solution: Your account needs to be re-synced, you do this by resetting your password and waiting 15 minutes

Carleton University students are assigned an email address at the time of admission to a course of study and retain it for life.
Student Email – @Cmail
The email address is in the form MC1username@cmail.carleton.ca
To activate your email a password reset is required. Activate your Email
Staff Email – @cunet
The email address is in the form MC1username@cunet.carleton.ca
Staff/Faculty also get a @carleton.ca email alias
