Continuing studies

The Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) offers a diverse range of adult and continuing education programs. We partner with all UVic faculties to provide stimulating, high-quality education opportunities to local and international learners.

We offer formal programs such as diplomas, certificates and degrees and also welcome students who are taking courses just for fun. Join our diverse community of adult, part-time, international and distance students.

Community programming

With more than 200 online and face-to-face adult education courses to choose from—from visual arts to health, computer skills to neuroscience, or politics to psychology—we can help you open yourself to new perspectives on a wide range of topics. You’ll find study options for personal enrichment or professional development.

Professional programming

Earn a university credential, train for a new career or work towards a professional designation. All of our programs are expertly designed by coordinators and instructors who are leaders in their fields. Our award-winning programs will enhance your skills, improve your career choices and help you gain a new perspective on your career.

International programming

We have a long history of offering customized and scheduled programming to individuals and groups from around the world.
