Classrooms
Book a space or contact us at roombookings@uvic.ca for more information.
UVic has 122 classrooms of various sizes available for booking. Available spaces include:
- classrooms, lecture theatres and seminar spaces
- Senate Chambers in the University Centre
- lobby areas of Clearihue, Engineering and Computer Science, Elliott, Human and Social Development, MacLaurin, Bob Wright Centre, David Turpin and David Strong buildings
Teaching in computer labs
University Systems manages 14 teaching labs that are available for booking. Teaching labs range in size from 13 to 54 stations, running Microsoft Windows or macOS. They have a variety of software for data analysis, research and design.

Food and beverages are not permitted in teaching labs. Make sure to review our teaching lab use policies before requesting a space.
Jeanne S. Simpson
The Jeanne S. Simpson property is available for booking through UVic Properties. Contact meet@uvicproperties.ca for more information.
SUB room bookings
You can book space in the Student Union Building (SUB) through the UVSS.
Available spaces include:
- Michele Pujol room
- SUB upper lounge
- Upper lounge board room
- Vertigo room
Outdoor space
Faculty and staff can book outdoor space for institutional events by submitting a completed outdoor booking form or by calling 250-721-7019.
Food & water
If you would like food trucks at your event, submit a food truck form before contacting vendors.
UVic’s portable outdoor water filling station can be reserved for your outdoor event by email or by calling 250-721-7019.
As per our Buildings and Grounds policy, overnight camping and tents are not permitted on university grounds.
University Club
The University Club hosts teas, luncheons, dinner banquets, weddings, dances and meetings for groups of 10 to 300. You can book this space by contacting 250-721-7938 (Ext. 2) or uclubcatering@uvic.ca.
Catering and audiovisual services
Catering services can be provided by:
- Degrees Catering for all on-campus spaces (except the SUB and University Club)
- UVSS for bookings in the SUB (contact uvsscatering@uvic.ca)
Audiovisual services and equipment can be booked through University Systems.
