UVic student housing is more than just a place to live. Here you’ll find a supportive community and new friends. Plus, live close to classes, the library and all the resources UVic has to offer.

Room types

Our student housing is grouped into neighbourhoods. Each has its own community leaders, activities and events. Most residence buildings are mixed gender, but some feature designated single gender floors.

Residence communities

Residence is more than just a place to live, it's a place where you'll get involved, deepen your interests and grow as a person. Our communities offer you the chance to live with other students who share your interests, blending your residential and academic experiences and supporting your lifestyle.

UVic residence & meal plan bursary

The UVic residence and meal plan bursary provides assistance to Canadian students who demonstrate financial need and live in residence. Each bursary is up to $1,500. To be eligible, you must have an eight-month contract (September to April) in residence. Visit Student Awards & Financial Aid to submit an online application.
