Journey from the Wolfram Data Science Boot Camp to Creative Data Analytics
When I attended the 2019 Wolfram Data Science Boot Camp as an instructor, I had the pleasure of meeting Professor Fei Du and Davis Mo, the youngest Boot Camp alum to date. I don’t think any of us expected our conversations from the camp to grow into our collaboration on the book Creative Data Analytics: Computational Recipes to Gain Insights into Business. h2.bookpost{display:block;} img.bookpost{padding-top:20px} From calculus to engineering, Wolfram Language can assist in solving a variety of real-world problems and questions in many different fields. Staying up to date with the latest books written by our users is a great way to see how Wolfram Language can help in your work, studies or hobbies. The authors of the eight new books featured here demonstrate the widespread use of Wolfram Language. We were also able to catch up with three different authors, including Eric Schulz, to speak about their experiences with Mathematica and Wolfram Language and how they use them day to day. Technology is an increasingly important part of education, not just for pedagogical purposes, but also as a bridge to the real-world work students will experience as they enter nearly any given industry beyond the classroom. Mathematica’s ease of use and the flexibility of the Wolfram Language feature in several recent textbooks, ranging from within applied mathematics, such as differential equations, to physical sciences like chemical engineering. We’re pleased to share our conversations with two authors whose works cover that range, and to highlight other recent releases featuring Wolfram technology. The Wolfram Language is utilized across a variety of fields for many different purposes. We’re proud of our products’ broad applications in multiple disciplines and are excited to share seven of the latest books by Wolfram Language users. These draw upon topics ranging from social networks and communications to computational origami to the biosciences. We also had the privilege of speaking to two authors about their projects and experiences with Mathematica and the Wolfram Language. One year ago I released my book The Math(s) Fix: An Education Blueprint for the AI Age. It’s been great to have seen it so well received in the media—featured in Forbes, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal and even winning the 2021 Independent Press Award for Education—as well as praised by individuals from all walks of life.

People from all around the globe use Wolfram technologies in a variety of fields and industries. High-school and college students begin to use the Wolfram Language in all types of classes as well as for their own projects, and educators at all institutional levels use Wolfram products to prepare for and teach courses—at the world’s top 200 universities and beyond.
We’ve rounded up some of our users’ recently published books, and were honored to speak with two authors about their projects. Paige Vigliarolo, Managing Editor, Wolfram MediaWolfram Media Publishing: Reflecting on a Big Year and Unwrapping Plans for the Next
This year has been Wolfram Media’s most productive yet, with five new titles and another published in partnership. While 2020's state and global shutdowns created unprecedented logistical challenges for the Wolfram Media team, I'm really proud of how we pulled together this year's list, with several more books already in production for release next year.
